UniverseThe Moolamantra

As a reader of this Ezine, I'm sure you already know we have infinite ways of feeling our connection with the Divine. Today, I'd like to share one more way of connecting that I find extremely rewarding. It is the chanting (or the simple saying) of the Vedic Sanskrit chant, the Moolamantra.

When you say or chant the Moolamantra, you call on the Divine and bring Grace into your life--INSTANTLY! It works regardless of Faith, beliefs, culture, or tradition. You can also chant the Moolamantra with a specific prayer in your heart if you wish.

Saying this Mantra works for me whether I say it aloud or silently to myself. I say the Moolamantra or listen to it whenever I prepare to give the Oneness Blessing; during times of stress or anxiety; at bedtime; at bedtime #2, which is after my cat Bastet wakes me up at 3:00 am for what we "affectionately" term "first breakfast"; and any other time I wish to raise my vibration or just feel better.

Here are the words to the Moolamantra:

Om Sat Chit Ananda Parabramha
Purushottama Paramatma
Sri Bhagavathi Sametha
Sri Bhagavate Namaha

There are many translations (and spellings) for this mantra. Here is a brief, easy-to-understand translation taken from "To Live in Joy" by Miriama and Irion Nanne. (If you prefer a detailed translation of each word, you can go to the Oneness Movement Website.)

"Divine power, be greeted: the absolute, the highest consciousness, with its radiance which is love and bliss, the spirit beyond anything created. The highest personality, the divine presence inside us, as the highest self that can manifest anywhere for anyone. The highest consciousness in its aspect as the mother. The highest consciousness in its aspect of the father. We give our love and devotion and reverence to all of these divine aspects."

Listed below are two Moolamantra CDs I play at Oneness events/calls. Please know there are many more wonderful versions of the Moolamantra for you to explore. (A good place to find more CDs is at the Oneness Movement website--see link below.)

CD #1 "Om Deeksha" by Maneesh de Moor is a wonderful compilation CD of many sacred mantras.
CD #2 "Moolamantra (Volume) 2-Enhance the Divinity Within You" (Bhavesh Bhatt) is a beautiful Moolamantra arrangement that is repeated four times on the CD for extended listening.

Both of these CDs are available at the Oneness Movement Website or on Amazon.com. "Om Deeksha" is also available at Dancing Moon.

I hope you enjoy this Mantra as much as I do and that it helps you feel an even stronger connection with the Divine in your life.
